      SEPT

                              Preparation is everything: Without
                                the protective suit, the Austrian
                                  Rock wouldn‘t have survived.

Giving up is not an option for the two extreme athletes: Gerd Habermann (l.) and Franz Müllner (r.)

                                   18th September
                                   Man against machine

As you know, when it comes to our famous BRAZZELTAG,
we are not far!!! This time we prepared for a world‘s record
                                   attempt at Technik Museum Speyer.
What happens when two silly-billys come together?
They challenge each other on who is the strongest risking
their necks for a competition! This in fact was the case on
September 18: On this sunny Saturday afternoon there was
no indication whatsoever as of brutal forces coming against
a human being. In an official world record attempt, extreme
athlete Franz Müllner, „The Austrian Rock“ challenged the
dragster school bus (from Gerd Habermann Racing) to
                                   test the maximum of strengths.

And then- action! The Schoolbus started its turbines,
accelerating to 25,000 hp and puffing out a cloud of smoke.
No sight left whatsoever. Brutal forces came into action.
Heat development amounted up to about 1600 degrees
and the pressure of one ton per square centimeters. It was
precisely these forces the 38-time Guinness World Record
holder exposed himself to. Wearing a fireproof suit and
helmet he lay down on the ground in order to withstand
the thrusting force- only a few meters away from it.
