Museum‘s founder,
inventor and model entrepreneur –
thanks to him

Born and raised in Stuttgart, Eberhard
Layher entered professional life at an early
age. The economic crisis and political turmult
left their mark on him, as did his experiences
in the war. Conscripted at the age of 18, he
was severely wounded in Russia and
returned home at the end of the war.

The home in Stuttgart had been destroyed
and so the family reunited in Eibensbach,
where the Wilhelm Layher family business
was established in 1945.
