7th and 8th August
The first astronaut

For all space fans, the wait was over
at the beginning of August: Colonel Jack
R. Lousma visited Speyer and gave a
lecture about his exciting missions: The
85-year-old flew to the Skylab space
station in 1973 and was commander of
the 3rd Space Shuttle mission in 1982.
He was the first space traveler to make
his way in times of pandemic.
Interest was so great that the NASA
astronaut spoke to more than 300
people over two days. Afterwards,
Lousma also stopped by in Sinsheim.
Museum‘s President Hermann Layher
seized the opportunity and took him
for a spin through the Kraichgau region
in a Maybach Zeppelin!

7th and 8th August
... and there were
some after all.

Here the US-Car fan community had
to be strong. Because most of them
already suspected it: Reluctantly, we
had to cancel the US-Car meeting
again. Nevertheless, some American
cars came to the site on this August
weekend - which made us very happy!
We’ll see you next year!
