Wine, fun and singing

Did you know what linguistic
challenges the Palatinates face every
day? What hurdles young farmers
in the deepest province have to
overcome to put an end to their
single existence? Or how a victory
to the „Lewwerworscht“ sounds that
made it onto the radio (even if only
for Shrovetide)? No? Neither do we.
But at the Culture Summer 2021 in
Speyer we were taught better! As
part of our birthday celebrations and
also to offer our visitors something
different from the region we
transformed the outdoor area,
between the imposing Antonov
An-22 and the John T. Essberger
with a stage, seating and catering
stands into a comfortable cultural
place. With regional artists and
vintners, there was a variety of
open-air program. For example,
dialect cabaret artist Chako Habekost
and comedians from the Boulevard-
theater Deidesheim enlightened the
audience about the Palatine love of
life, their empathy as
well as their linguis- The rock bands
tic behavior - here, Hörenswörth,
laughs until the GRABOWSKY and the
„Schoppe glass“ burst Anonyme Giddarischde
were guaranteed. performed newly
interpreted cover hits as
well as originals. With all
these thrilling artists, no
one was able to stay in
their seats for long.
