High-speed ship WSS-12

The spiral underlying the support system of the high-speed ship displayed at the Technik Museum Speyer was developed and patented by the civil engineer Friedrich H. Wendel. The Wendel high-speed ships are so far the only support ships that remain completely unaffected by waves due to a special support system, and thereby can ride waves without reducing speed. The high-speed ship displayed at the Technik Museum Speyer is suitable for service in river and estuary areas. The ship was built to accommodate 16 people. Sleeping facilities are provided for 3-4 persons if the ship is used for police or customs service.
