For many years, our museum has been transformed into a world of the most diverse fandoms at the Science Fiction Meeting. The event is as colorful as the visitors themselves. Due to the great popularity of the meeting, we came up with the idea of a retro Market with the topics comics, films and toys. The event will take place in the museum's space hall on January 25th and 26th 2025 and is included in the admission price.
Retro films and series, especially from the 70s, 80s and 90s, are very popular with fans and have been experiencing a real boom. The heroes of one's own childhood play a major role and it is not uncommon for hobbies such as model making, cosplay or the passion to collect everything related to the beloved topic. The demand for events related to these topics is increasing and Europe's largest space exhibition in Speyer provides the perfect location. At the Retro Market, fan articles on various fandoms from the years 1950 to 1998 will be on offer. Fans can browse through the event and meet up for a "nerd exchange" in a relaxed atmosphere. With the Retro Market we plans an event by fans for fans. It’s a platform for collectors and and interested people in a rather quiet time. In addition to the merchant stands, members of Technik Museen Sinsheim Speyer association will be showing their models and auctions and lectures are planned. Cosplayers are welcome and will receive an admission discount at the ticket office in costume.
