Visit of NASA-astronaut Susan Still-Kilrain

    On Saturday, 17 August 2024, NASA astronaut Susan Still-Kilrain will visit the Technik Museum Speyer and give a talk about her two space missions in the museum‘s FORUM cinema from 2 pm to 3 pm. Afterwards, Susan will be signing her children's book ‘An Unlikely Astronaut’ from 3pm, which is available in a limited edition in the online shop and in the museum shop. She flew into space twice as the pilot on board the space shuttle „Columbia“, missions STS-83 and STS-94, in April and July 1997. Still-Kilrain is one of only three female astronauts to have flown into space as the space shuttle pilot during the Space Shuttle Program from 1981 to 2011.

    Information for visitors
    The lecture will be held in English and is included in the museum admission price. Access is only possible with a valid day ticket and a current seat reservation for the FORUM cinema. Seat reservations can be made directly at the box office on the day of the lecture; reservations in advance are not possible.
