Zero Gravity

Fly to the International Space Station with ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst!

For three years, film maker Jürgen Hansen accompanied the geophysicist and volcanologist Alexander Gerst on his way to fulfilling his lifelong dream – to the legendary Johnson Space Center of NASA in Houston, the ESA in Cologne, and the Russian space agency Roscosmos in the "Star City" in Moscow. In May 2014, the big day finally arrived. Together with NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman and Russian cosmonaut Maxim Suraev, Alexander Gerst headed to the International Space Station, where he would stay for six months. ZEROGRAVITY – MISSION IN SPACE follows Gerst on his spectacular journey into space.
