Mikojan / Gurewitsch MiG-21

Almost simultaneously with the "Starfighter" the MiG-21 was introduced to the public in 1956. This plane was repeatedly modified in the course of the years to adapt to technological developments. For the training of pilots a two-seater version was developed besides. The MiG-21 on exhibit in the Technik Museum Speyer was in service with the air force of the Nationale Volksarmee up to takeover by the Federal Armed Forces in 1990. It is painted in the colors of the "Red Archers" a stunt flying squad of the Indian air force that was flying in the seventies.
