De Havilland D.H. 100 Vampire

The "Vampire" MK 1 was one of the .rst jet planes. Development began back in WW II already. After the war the craft was built under license by numerous countries, among them Switzerland in particular. This is where the museum's exhibit originated. The craft was last serving as a target-tow for the Swiss airforce. Hence the conspicuous paint work.
